On the occasion of the commencement of EAFF Women's Football Championship Preliminary Competition, on behalf of EAFF, I'd like to express my sincerest congratulations and warmest thanks to the Organizing Association: Guam Football Association.

EAFF Women's Football Championship is the highest-leveled women's competition held by EAFF. It has significance to the promotion and popularization of Women's football in East Asia. What's more, the Preliminary Competition is the first international tournament host by Guam FA. It shows that Women's football is gradually expanding in this region. I hope that in the near future, we can find the Women's Football in East Asia on a higher level.

I sincerely hope that all the participants can give their best to make a good performance and wish this event a round success.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Guam Football Association, I would like to welcome all the officials and participants of the EAFF Women's Football Championship 2008 Preliminary Competition.

Thank you EAFF for your vote of confidence in allowing GFA to host this prestigious event as this is Guam's first women's international football competition held on Guam. Through this event, GFA hopes to pave the way for women's football by providing top notch competition and exposure to our local football community.
