Chongqing is the largest and most populous of the People's Republic of China's four provincial level municipalities. It is also the most populous city in the world with population of more than 30 million. It locates in the southwest of China and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Chongqing is rich in natural resources and is the business center and pivot of telecommunications on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the southwest of China. Chongqing is called “City of Mountains” because the city is surrounded by towering mountains.
