Hong Kong showcased great resilience on Thursday evening’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia – AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2 (Group C) fixture and secured a hard-fought 0:0 draw against China in Shenzhen.
China threw everything towards Hong Kong right from the start as Zheng Zhi hit the Hong Kong goal-post on the 9th minute.
Shortly afterwards, Yu Hanchao went past Hong Kong keeper Yapp Hung-fai but witnessed his shot first cleared away by Jean Kilama, eventually hitting the goal-post and then went out of play.
Yu Hanchao had another great chance on the 36th minute but the Chinese player once again saw his shot inside the Hong Kong box ended up hitting the woodwork. China must be ruing its luck at this moment.....
