Hong Kong U-21 suffered a crushing blow in its opening game of the FAS U-21 International Challenge Cup in Singapore on Wednesday evening by falling against Singapore U-21 through a 5:0 defeat.

Singapore U-21 attempted the first shot of the game on the 5th minute, when Adam Swandi pulled the trigger from outside the box but fired the ball high.

The host opened the score on the 17th minute through a corner-kick, with Dhukilan Jeevamani picked up the ball through a nod-back by his teammate at the front-post and dully re-directed the ball home from close-range distance, putting Singapore U-21 in front.

Hong Kong U-21 had a semi-decent chance on the 23rd minute. Yiu Ho-ming took control of the ball near the middle of the park, then darted forward before ripping a shot that went high above the Singapore U-21 crossbar.
