On September 16, Korea Men’s U16 national team lost to Iraq 1-2 in the AFC U16 Championship. The match was held in PJN stadium located in Goa, India. The U16 team suffered from a hot temperature and unfamiliar pitch conditions. Iraqi players also showed outstanding technique on the pitch.
Korea started the match with 4-2-3-1 formation. Park Jimin stood in front of the goal. Kim Minhyeok, Ko Junhee, Kim Taehyeon and Kim Taehwan consisted of back four defense line. Yong Donghyun and Lee Soobin took the defensive midfield role while Park Chanbin, Park Jeongin, Jeong Chanyoung played behind the striker. Cheon Seonghoon played as a center forward.
Korea seemed as if they were not 100% fit for the match. In the 12’, Park Jeongin fired a shot and hit the side net. Apart from that, Korea had difficulties in keep the possession. Park tried another shot in the 31’. Korea started playing their game since that moment.....
