適逢亞洲足協將3月8日國際婦女節定為女子足球日，為響應此項盛事，香港足球總會亦舉辦亞洲足協女子足球節，日前活動於賽馬會香港足球總會足球訓練中心已順利舉行。
當日活動分為上、下午兩個時段。活動上午部份為「學界新秀賽」，目的為希望學校能夠達致「讓足球承傳」。「學界新秀賽」參加的學生為小一至小三及中一至中二，共130位女學生參與。另外，活動下午部份為「青少年球會盃」，希望能夠增加女性足球人口，令更多球會可以吸納多一點年輕小將。今次「青少年球會盃」就有三個年齡組別賽事，包括八歲以下（共12隊）、十歲以下（共13隊）及十二歲以下（共12隊），一共超過300位女孩子分別參與3人、5人及7人的對賽。賽事更讓部分年輕球員擔任裁判員，旨在讓她們於不同崗位學習，並使女性在球賽的參與度得以提升。.....
