Schalke: Japan international Ko Itakura has joined German second division side FC Schalke 04 on a one-year loan deal from Manchester City.
The versatile 24-year-old, who was part of the Japan squad that finished fourth at the Olympic Games in Tokyo earlier this month, spent the last two-and-a-half seasons on loan at Dutch side Groningen.
“I am very happy to now be a Schalke 04 player,” the former Kawasaki Frontale player said on the German club’s website. .....
