Kuala Lumpur: Islamic Republic of Iran ended the year as Asia's best ranked team, following the latest FIFA World Ranking announced on Thursday.
Iran, who were in phenomenal form in the AFC Asian Qualifiers - Road to Qatar, remain 21st in the FIFA World Ranking.
Japan and Korea Republic are the second and third best teams with their rankings unchanged at 26th and 33rd respectively.
Australia remained fourth at 35th while Qatar replaced Saudi Arabia in fifth place, moving up to 48th following their third-placed finish in the recent FIFA Arab Cup 2021. .....
