Navi Mumbai: Yuika Sugasawa is happy to have played a major role in Japan’s 7-0 win over Thailand in the AFC Women's Asian Cup India 2022™ quarter-finals on Sunday.
The win set Japan up for a semi-final battle against China PR and also confirmed their FIFA Women's World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023 berth.
Sugasawa, having been part of the title-winning squads of the 2014 and 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup campaigns as well as the 2018 Asian Games, was in sizzling form at the the D.Y Patil Stadium on Sunday. .....
