Navi Mumbai: An inspiring team talk from head coach Shui Qingxia did the job as China PR came from two goals down to edge Korea Republic 3-2 in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022™ final on Sunday.
Shui’s side trailed 2-0 at half-time after Choe Yu-ri and Ji So-yun had put Korea Republic ahead. However, China PR scored three goals in the second half courtesy of Tang Jiali, Zhang Linyan and Xiao Yuyi to seal the thrilling win.
After the final whistle was blown and celebrating Wang Shanshan lifting the AFC Women’s Asian Cup for a record-extending ninth time, Shui hailed her players’ performance in the post-match press conference. .....
