Singapore: One of the biggest moves in the history of the Singapore Premier League was announced last November when Korea Republic’s 6’ 5” striker Kim Shin-wook signed with Lion City Sailors ahead of the 2022 season.

The two-time AFC Champions League winner joined the-AFC.com for an exclusive interview to discuss his move to the Singapore Premier League champions, the domestic season and 2022 AFC Champions League campaign, and what his arrival can mean for Singaporean football.

Hi Shin-wook, thanks for joining us. What prompted you to join Lion City Sailors at the beginning of a new era in the club’s history?

I wanted a new challenge and a new experience and moving to Singapore was the right fit for me. The ambition and vision of Lion City Sailors was a strong pull for me, and I knew I would be able to develop further as a player here in Singapore. .....
