[April 16, 2022 – Harmon, Guam] With about five months remaining until kick off of the AFC U20 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2023™ Qualifiers, the Guam U20 National Team continues to work toward mitigating challenges exacerbated by the COVID19 pandemic in order to best prepare to return to the international stage.
“In terms of attributes, the National Team Program needs all players to be playing at the highest level possible,” Guam U20 Head Coach Dominic Gadia said. “That being said, the highest level possible on island is within the National Team training sessions. There are no full-time football programs in Guam, so it’s up to the National Team Program to create a high performance environment which can allow players to reach the highest potential possible.”
Gadia, appointed to his current position in 2020 and also serving as Guam Football Association’s Elite Player Development Officer, recently added Bryan Cadiz to the U20 National Team staff as Assistant Coach. Gadia also retained Julius “JR” Campos as coach for goalkeepers in the program. .....
