On Wednesday 17 August, the U-20 Japan Women's National Team faced the U-20 USA Women’s National Team in their third group stage match of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Costa Rica 2022™.
For their third and final match of the group stage, coach IKEDA Futoshi made five changes to their starting line-up against Ghana, as OBA Shu and IWASAKI Kokona were given their first start.
While the USA needed to win with at least a two goal margin to advance through, Japan needed just a draw to clinch their spot into the quarterfinals. .....
