On Friday 23 December, JFA released the 2023 annual schedule for each category of the Japan National Team. The SAMURAI BLUE (Japan National Team), who finished in the top 16 at this year’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, will start in March, while the Nadeshiko Japan (Japan Women's National Team), who will be competing in the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ in July, will start their campaign with an international tournament in February.
After finishing in the top 16 for the second consecutive time at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, which ended on the 18 December, the SAMURAI BLUE will resume its activities when they take part in the KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP 2023 in March.
The team is scheduled to play 10 matches in 2023, including the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ AFC qualifiers, which will also serve as the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier, in November. .....
