Kuala Lumpur: Korea Republic hold the record of being the inaugural AFC Asian Cup™ champions in 1956.

They went on to defend their position four years later and have continued to vie for the title since, as the-AFC.com finds out.

Tournament regulars

This will be Korea Republic’s 15th participation in the AFC Asian Cup. They have progressed from the group stage in each of their previous seven participations after being eliminated at the qualifying stage in 1992, though they have not won the tournament since 1960 when the winners were decided in a round-robin stage with four participants. .....
