June 3 - At the Icheon Athletics Stadium the South Korea U-18 national team faced the England U-18 national team in the 'Gyeongin Daily U-18 National Football Invitational Friendly'. Korea recorded a 2-0 win. In the second half, Kim Jinya scored a lucky goal, and Lee Seungwoo's penalty goal secured the win.

Coach Jeong Jeongyong used a 4-1-4-1 formation against England. The four-man defense was Yoon Jonggyu, Lee Jungmoon, Lee Sangmin, and Jang Jaewon. In front of them was Lee Seungmo as the lone holding midfielder. The midfielders were Park Sanghyeok, Lee Seungwoo, Lee Sangheon, and Kim Jinya. Cho Youngwook started as the lone center forward. Ahn Joonsoo was in goal.

Korea looked to use aggressive pressure to get attacks going, but England's combination of strength and technique meant their defense was strong. Both teams broke up their opponent's passing moves, leaving the game firmly in the balance. In the 14' Lee Seungmo picked up a loose ball, and attempted a long-range shot, but it was wide of the target. In the 22' Lee Seungwoo took a free kick just outside the England penalty area, but England keeper Aaron Ramsdale caught it.
