Jung Sungchun's U-20 women's team recorded a big 15-0 win over Papua New Guinea in a friendly match.

July 2 - At the Paju National Football Center (NFC) the women's U-20 team faced Papua New Guinea in a friendly match. It was festival of goals. Jang Chang (Korea University) scored a hattrick with Kim Soeun (Yesung Girl's HS), Kim Sungmi (Ulsan Science University), Song Jiyoon ((Korea University), and Kang Chaerim (Dongsan Jungsan HS) all scoring two goal apiece. Han Chaerin (Uiduk University), Choi Heejung (Gangwon Provincial College), Namgung Yeji (Korea University), and Lee Hyokyung (Hokuriku University) all scored one goal apiece in the 15-0 win.

This match consisted of three 30 minute quarters. For this practice match there were no restrictions on substitutions. Players who were subbed out could come back in as a 're-entry'.

From the beginning of the first quarter, the women's U-20 team strongly pushed Papua New Guinea back. Papua New Guinea attempted to pack the defense and then counterattack, but Korea's pressing defense broke up their attacks.
