Following on from their bronze medal in 2012, Korea Republic were impressive at the AFC U23 Championship, losing only to Japan in the final.
The Koreans eased through Group C, recording a 2-1 win over Uzbekistan and thumping Yemen 5-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Kwong Chang-hoon before sharing the points with Iraq in their final group match.
Their most impressive performance came in semi-final against host nation Qatar, who were backed by a boisterous 12,000-strong crowd. After going ahead, the Koreans conceded a 77th minute equaliser, but regrouped and scored two late goals to confirm a 3-1 win and qualification.....
