Korea Republic men’s national team cruised past Kuwait en route to the world finals.

Hong Myungbo’s charges defeated Kuwait 3-1 in their fifth match of Group B in the Asian Qualifiers third round for the 2026 FIFA World Cup staged at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on Thursday. The Taegeuk Warriors grabbed a two-goal lead through Oh Sehun and Son Heungmin in the first half, before Bae Junho put the result beyond doubt midway through the second period.

Korea Republic have extended their lead in Group B with 13 points from five games, with top two teams from each group in the third round automatically qualify for the finals. They will face Palestine at Amman International Stadium in Jordan on Tuesday. .....
